Holy shit…it’s official!

De Colores Arts Collective is an official 501c3. I just received my determination letter.

I am sitting here at my desk in a time crunch to get ready…bawling. All the doors have been opened up just in the nick of time to make this a real actual fucking thing.

I’m bawling because I miss my parents and grandparents so much. They’d be so proud of me. I miss all the people in my life I’ve lost..they’d all be proud of me. I miss my daughter and my best friend; there will be no celebrations.

But I am also crying because of the people who DID believe in me. The people who DO believe in me. The ones who do believe in my new mission to be LOUD AS FUCK the only way Latinas can. I love you all. I promise not to let you down. This is going to be so much fun!!!
