The first time someone famous I admired was a dick to me was the last time I gave a crap about celebrity. As a photographer, I got to meet many of my musical heroes. Some were incredibly kind and humble, and some were a real disappointment. At the end of the day, everyone is just some run of the mill jerk who found success through a modicum of talent.
HOWEVER
when the singer of one of your favorite bands “hearts” your comment on Facebook, you shriek like a teenage girl seeing one of her favorite BTS characters.

OMAIGA!
I was making a comment in response to their new album My Echo, My Shadow, My Covers & Me about how much I loved Eye in The Sky by the Alan Parsons Project as a kid. But I never really paid attention to the lyrics; it was just a great melody with a nice chorus. Now, I’m listening to this song nearly 40 years later and I’m realizing what a brilliant song it actually is.
This cover features Beck with AWOL. It’s beautifully crafted. Knowing these two musical geniuses worked together to produce this beauty makes my ears happy.
