I feel incredibly fortunate to have photographed some of the shows I have in the past 4 years. Like a lot of 70s kids, “The Sonny and Cher Show” was watched when it was on. Pregnancy has been kicking my ass, so I’ve had to pass on shows I was approved for. But I couldn’t pass up Cher. Downside#1- we had to photograph from the back of the arena. Thankfully I knew this beforehand and took my stool with me. Downside #2 – I don’t have the awesome gigantic 500mm lens that costs about the same as a small used car, so I had to make extra sure all my settings were right the first time so my slower, lesser zoom lens could capture the shots I was able to get. Success from my perspective as far as I’m concerned.
On the plus side, I got to photograph a legend and while I didn’t know some of the songs, she played enough I knew and she performed all of then spectacularly.
